Gold Cap Jockey Club | 88ML Cologne
The original Jockey Club, first introduced at New York’s Plaza Hotel in 1840, is considered to be America’s first “sport” cologne and quickly became the favored scent from Saratoga to Churchill Downs. A breezy, casual fragrance, it was exceptionally fresh and long-lasting, superbly carrying you through an energetic afternoon playing polo or sailing your yacht.
This Caswell-Massey 1980’s Gold Cap version was inspired by the classic original, but took a decidedly modern, creative spin with an infusion of more citrus and floral notes, and adding precious woods. A masculine citrus amber blend, it exuberantly opens with an effervescent cocktail of citrus zest and sparkling bergamot. Lush jasmine and aromatic geranium tempered with amber form an evocative heart, as ylang ylang, sandalwood and musk invite a warm, sensual drydown.
